Blood Pressure Monitoring

We offer FREE Blood Pressure Checks to everyone who attends our pharmacy for their Blood Pressure prescriptions. We charge a nominal €5 fee to everyone else.You can call instore or book your appointment online today.

Measuring Blood Pressure with a regular Blood Pressure Monitor just tells you what your Blood Pressure is at one moment in time. Blood Pressure however does fluctuate during the day and at night time.To get a fuller picture of your Blood Pressure we are now doing 24 hour Blood Pressure Reports* in our Monksland Store. To enable this we will fit you with a Blood Pressure monitor that will take a reading approximately every 30 minutes and less frequently at night.You will then return to the Pharmacy 24 hours later to have the monitor removed and your report printed.This can then be brought to your GP for assessment.

Who should get this done?

• If you have recently been diagnosed with High Blood Pressure and your GP or yourself want to have a better picture as to how your medication,time of day or your lifestyle is affecting your Blood Pressure

• If even the sight of a Doctor or a Pharmacist pushes your Blood Pressure up(known as "White Coat Hypertension") a 24 hour monitor can overcome this effect.
